Description
Steam distilled from the dried and ground rhizomes of the Zingiber Officinale plant, Ginger Oil is used widely in flavours and fragrances. It provides warmth and spice in both applications and is often used quite heavily in spice driven male fragrances. The rhizomes sun dried and unpeeled have been used for thousands of years as a spice and as such cultivation of the plant has sprung up in most tropical and subtropical regions. Distillation of the Oil largely takes place in China & India. Ginger Oil presents as a pale yellow to amber coloured liquid. The odour is warm, fresh-woody and spicy.
